Franconia UMC is seeking a part-time Director of Youth Ministry (“DYM”) to lead the Youth (7th – 12th Grade) and Young Adults (College Students), in our congregation and community. The DYM is responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining a program of spiritual formation, discipleship, mission outreach and fellowship.The DYM will also be responsible for the recruitment and mentoring of volunteers as instruction and special event coordinators/assistants.
The DYM is required to work 15-17 hours per week. The DYM will work cooperatively and collaboratively with, and under the direct supervision of, the Church’s Pastor.
A college degree holder with prior experience working with youth/young adults is strongly preferred. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
Currently, the DYM will lead a combination of remote/virtual and some in-person meetings due to prevailing COVID-19 related restrictions. This current format is subject to change.
