Missions

Missions

At Franconia we continually look outside of our church walls to see who and what needs our helping hands. We have regular projects that help the greater community but are always looking for ways to help – small and large – to make this world one community where we can all rely on one another.

Current missions include:

  • Gift cards for families at Franconia Elementary School (next door to our church)
  • Local food pantry support
    • Koinonia – right in our back yard!  This year, we provided Koinonia with 10 Holiday Baskets for their clients and fresh produce from our community garden!
    • Rising Hope United Methodist Mission Church – every year, we collect and deliver 400 canned goods to support their food pantry before the holiday season.
  • Local meal packaging and delivery
    • Phoenix Rising – every month we collect, pack and deliver 170 meal sacks to those in need.  Each meal sack has enough food for two meals.
  • Rise Against Hunger
    • Every year on World Communion Sunday, we pack 15,000 meals for people around the world.
  • Kits for Conference
    • We collect and assemble hygiene kits and cleaning buckets to support those in need.  This past June, we collected enough hygiene items to assemble 238 hygiene kits.
