For more than 40 years, the Koinonia organization has been located in the small brick building behind the Cokesbury education building on the campus of Franconia UMC. Koinonia begin in the 1960’s when some women from a church in Springfield decided to put their “feet to their prayers” by starting up a food and clothing ministry for those less fortunate.

FUMC supports Koinonia in many ways throughout the year. Feel free to drop items off directly to Koinonia, or stop by FUMC on Sunday morning and place your donations in the marked bins in Cokesbury Hall.

The first Sunday of each month is Koinonia Share Sunday – we collect cleaning products but all food items, paper products, etc., are welcome, too. Please, only non-perishable items.
