On Sunday, December 12 at 1 p.m., Franconia United Methodist Church will conduct a charge conference via Zoom. The conference’s purpose will be discussing and voting on the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) bankruptcy. We will discuss ongoing developments with the bankruptcy case as well as the potential liability of the United Methodist Church in general and Franconia UMC in particular.
The charge conference will decide whether to approve or disapprove of the BSA bankruptcy plan as currently negotiated. The conference will also confirm a member of the trustees to be the individual authorized by the church to complete the ballot for or against the bankruptcy plan and submit it to our agent, Omni Agent Solutions.
