Safe Sanctuary Training

Safe Sanctuary Training

Safe Sanctuary training opportunity will be February 4 from 12:15 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. in Cokesbury Hall and on Zoom.

Keeping our children safe is of utmost importance to us at Franconia UMC. We have created a Child
Protection Policy to help with this. One requirement of this policy is that volunteers who work with the children and youth of the church complete a Safe Sanctuary training. We will be offering this training on Sunday, February 4 in a hybrid format. It will be in-person in Cokesbury Hall and online through Zoom. The session will be from 12:15 – 1:30 p.m.
This training will cover our church’s Child Protection Policy and information on child abuse and steps to follow in case you suspect abuse. The training is mandatory for those planning to work with the children or youth in the coming year at Franconia UMC. VBS, Kingdom Kids, Franconia Players, youth group, youth mission trip or our children’s outreach events like Easter Celebration and VBS are some of the ministry areas where you may be needed. We hope you will be able to join us for this important training. The links for these sessions will be on the church calendar on our website.
