Inclement Weather Policy

(As of January 2007)

Franconia UMC’s activities and meetings will follow the Fairfax County Public School (FCPS) announcements. If FCPS closes and evening activities are cancelled, then FUMC’s facilities will also be closed.

Caveat: This does not apply to Sunday worship services, which will be held as scheduled regardless of FCPS announcements. In the event of extreme weather conditions, worship services will be cancelled. If this does occur, the church’s answering machine (reached at 703-971-5151) will be updated to announce the cancellation and a church-wide email will also be sent out by 7:30 AM.

An Important Reminder About Building Use Requests

A reminder that all requests to use the facilities must be approved by the Board of Trustees before the event can be added to the master calendar. PLEASE DOWNLOAD AND COMPLETE the building use form at the right (in Word format) -
