Weather Policy (As of January 2007)
Franconia
UMC’s activities and meetings will follow the Fairfax County County Public Schools (FCPS) announcements. If FCPS closes and evening activities
are cancelled, then FUMC’s facilities will also be closed.
Caveat:
This does not apply to Sunday worship services, which will be held as scheduled regardless of FCPS announcements. In the event
of extreme weather conditions, worship services will be cancelled. If this does occur, the church’s answering machine
(reached at 703-971-5151) will be updated to announce the cancellation and a church-wide email will also be sent out by 7:30
AM.
