The use of the
name Stephen in Stephen Ministries comes from St. Stephen, who was the first lay person
commissioned by the apostles to provide caring ministry to those in need (as recorded in the New Testament, Acts 6).
The Stephen Ministry is one of sharing and caring. Stephen
Ministers gladly make themselves available to Franconians and family and friends who may be in need.
