Imagine Spending the Weekend in Prison. On Purpose...

The Kairos program trains individuals to form teams to go into prisons for a long weekend and bring Jesus's love and forgiveness to all incarcerated individuals, their families, and those who work with them, and to assist in the transition of becoming a productive citizen.

Home baked cookies are a large part of the weekend. Each volunteer takes 100 dozen cookies for the weekend, so the need for cookies are great. But there are some special instructions that you must follow as some ingredients are restricted by the prisons. The link below will provide instructions as to cookie size. We've also included some recipes for your convenience, including a favorite using cake mix as the basic batter!

If you can't commit to baking cookies, perhaps you can be part of the prayer vigil. The Kairos volunteers ask for your support in the form of 30-minute blocks of prayer which start on Thursdays at 6 PM and end on Sundays at 8:30 PM. If you can help in this regard, please fill out the form to the right.

Would You Like To Bake Some Cookies for the Kairos Weekends? Or be part of the prayer vigil? Fill out this form:
