Amy McCarthy is our new Director of Music Ministry with extensive experience singing with and directing choirs in the DC Metro area. She recently served at Calvary United Methodist Church, Arlington where she was Worship Song Leader, Section Leader, and Children’s Music Director.
In addition to her church positions, Amy works as a music teacher in Prince William County Public Schools. With a bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from Wagner College, NYC, she later earned her Master’s in Music Education from George Mason, concentrating in Choral Conducting. Amy loves making music with children both young and old and is excited to join the staff and congregation at FUMC.
